Supporting LEAF is reflective of good cotmnuimy citizenship and values in support of our cotmnuimy of Scenic Acres as a whole. Having recently canvassed around my home streets, I have been encouraged by the demonstration of such values from so many neighbours. Conversations around all sorts of issues that are valuable to our cotmnuimy arose and gave us something to connect about. As cotmnuimy residents we should take any advantage to be part of making our cotmnuimy better for everyone, not just our personal property but showing pride and support for others. I particularly like the fact that we, as residents, will have control over how our cotmnuimy greenspaces are cared for. This will only increase property value for everyone. Just taking a walk around one can see the neglect in these places. Being neighbourly and cotmnuimy-minded is one of the great strengths of our cotmnuimy I was pleased to see so much of those values being upheld still by so many cotmnuimy-minded citizens!. What a great place we live in!

I volunteer for a very small nfnprooit focused on animal welfare issues. It does not have a board of directors, but is managed by its founder with volunteer help. Are there any legal problems with this structure that we should be aware of?

So the $200 I paid for life membership two years ago is going to be abborsed and I get nothing in return? I don't like that at all. I did that because I love being a member of AEOE and based on what I just read, sounds like I am getting screwed. Not Happy. I really like the people on the board and don't understand what the motivation is for this change. If member input is not a part of the process, it feels underhanded. But again I don't know the whole story. Please consider my input. Jay Bluejay Bishop 2010 Southern EEr of the year(AEOE)

I host a couple wkrhsoops a year for aspiring photographers and moms who just want to learn to use their cameras. I'd recommend keeping them small enough to be able to get to everyone personally and give them more than they expect!! Be willing to share completely of yourself and your techniques (which means being confident in your skills and current business). It's a great way to share what you know and give others the great gift of photography![]

Hi Jon, All 0% cards that I have seen the rate gets higher after 12 or 18 mntohs. If you can't pay out in that time you might look for a card with a low 2.9% or 3.9% for the life of the balance transfer. After you get the card check the limit if it isn't enough to cover the 15K that you need call the company and ask them to raise the limit. Even tell them what you want the money for. If you already have a credit card you should first try calling the company and see if they can work out a good deal for you. I know this can be done.We had an offer of 2.9 for the life of the balance transfer but the limit was only 10K. We called the company and told them that the note we wanted to pay off had a 15K balance and they aproved it.Good Luck

Many many realtors would like what you have but with PITI. Principal, Interest, Taxes, & Insurance. That would give us the total montlhy payments which is much more valuable than just the PI, principal & Interest calculator. It should be easy to add on.1. Tax Rate with a Drop Down List from O.1 to 4.0 in .1 increments 0.1, 0.2, 0.3, etc.2. Insurance Yearly Cost, then you divide by 12.

What distresses me the most about the Maureen Castriotta sttiaiuon is the way in which the BOE trampled her Constitutional rights. Also, the Board members have now opened us up to a costly law suit because they acted as authority above the Constitution of the United States and can now be officially recalled according to the BOE bylaws. The town lawyer did not read the all of Section 0146. Here is the pertinent part that was omitted at last night's meeting: Board members are entitled to express themselves publicly on any matter, including issues involving the Board and the school district. Individual Board members cannot, however, express the position of the Board except as expressly authorized, in accordance with the Board Policy No. 9120. A Board member shall not represent his/her personal opinion as the position of the Board and shall include in all formal expressions in which his/her Board affiliation is likely to be recognized, such as letters to government officials or newspapers, speeches to organizations and the like, a statement that the opinions expressed do not necessarily represent those of the board. She did not violate that part of the bylaws. According to the bylaws, she was free to express her opinion. It was malicious slander and nothing less. Regarding the walk out . First, it was authorized by Mr. Swanson and Dr. Rossi. They knew the day before that it was going to happen and they did nothing to discourage the students from doing it. This action, in itself, opens us up to any number of law suits. Most of those children were minors. As such, permission slips would be needed to excuse a student from class. I sincerely doubt that 600 permission slips were obtained. Secondly, a permit for lawful assembly was not issued to these students. Thirdly, the press was welcomed at the walk out which makes me believe that either Mr. Swanson or Dr. Rossi invited them to attend.Lastly, if the principal of the high school and the superintendent cannot MANAGE and exert their authority over their students, they are incompetent and should be DISMISSED immediately.Shame on Pat Miller who only stated the view point (and IMHO, a pack of lies) that Rossi and Swanson presented as truth etched in stone. Shame on those who voted to censure Ms. Castriotta. At the very least, she should start the recall procedure against the members of the board for trampling her rights.
